Murder of the Human Spirit

A fall from grace without certainty,
the cauldrons of magic have evaporated,

Set fire to the iron tyranny imprisoning my heart,
glance at what once was through the gates of forever a lasting time,
know that I have not forgotten or forgiven,
the divinities for their crimes upon the shores of my relentless love,

A conspiracy of the gods played by the sinister tricksters,
I am most helpless to prevail,
my mind is not to be trusted anymore,

I am my own killer... with two lifetimes to fulfill

"Unfinished Poem"

She was like forbidden fruit to me,
bittersweet to the core,
and always just out of my loving grasp,

Images of natural beauty hindering my sleep,
Lustful thoughts questioning my very state of man,
to taste her rose lips would have been a glimpse at heaven,

I understand that we are not the same,
perhaps our conflicting lifestyles are to blame,

All I know is that you have a lover's bequest to fulfill,
to be bestowed the opportunity to prove my devotion to you would be the ultimate thrill...
