Vulnerable Dreams ~ Prelude

to guide the light in your darkness take my hand,
remember the times we spent at the beach buried under the warm sand,
you have always been to me the most beautiful in the land,
wish for me to take you away from the pain with a wave of my magic wand,

She stood by the calming water, letting it soak and dampen her tired feet,
She sees the epitome of lacking sleep,
burdened wraith corpse on the verge of defeat,
and somehow there burns within her spirit an attracting heat,

He has seen many like this sullen maiden,
with the chant of song from lyrics that deaden,
the senses -- pain unfolding to drive common men mad,
yet he is drawn to her charming exhales of loneliness and for the acquaintance he is glad,

He spoke to her: "How can one so beautifully tranquil tread the world alone?"
She replied with not gentle words but tiptoed a definitively frightened moan,
"I cannot be possessed by demons named Men in icebergs of aversion" she replied,
And so in enmity for vexed time, she committed (but never submitted) herself and so he died,

His demeanor violated her in a state of utter vulnerable strife,
She, in turn, by words of venom had claimed another violent life,
