TRUE IN EYES OF BLUE

Light the Way ~ Prelude

flame crackles and lightening sparkles as the hammer strikes
the anvil at the Earth's crust,
the meek old blacksmith breathes in an air of lame pride
for work of art sculpted out of sublime dust,
the child of a new beginning embarks on a fruitless journey
that will fade it with rust,
words beyond generation; only knowledge in the travels
	emparted in promised trust,

As true as these eyes are blue,
across the room those sinister prisms stare,
pallid statements laid bare,
look into their eyes for the lies that leave the final clue,

Listen for the falsehoods spoken in serpent tongues to you,
fear berates trust in complacent reason,
onslaught of verbal treason,
wicked deceit hurts beloved people; me and you,

Honesty between two is the purest virtue,
sometimes love can enslave social desecration,
fire in tears of desperation,
drops of morning rain; dawn's dew,

Eastward bound, the eagle of honor flew,
a paladin of anarchy and evil,
on a surreal cloud of mercury they dwell,
a paragon that knew from truth the weak grew...
