Hegel says, in the PHILOSOPHY OF HISTORY I think, that "theory paints 
gray on gray, but life is green."

Our strenuously hyperventillating Buffalo crowd suupose that, by writing as 
they do, they demonstrate that their "thought" is vewy vewy "difficult."  
Those of us accustomed to spending a good deal of time reading genuinely 
difficult material may be permitted a snicker.  As another German said of 
certain mediocre academics of his own day:  "They muddy the water, to 
make it seem deep."
