Subject: M-TH: reality as "anecdote"

     Well, the buffaloes are at it again, this time 
announcing that anybody talking about actual reality such 
as their own lives or current events is indulging in "mere" 
"anecdote."  Some ontology.  I am reminded of economists 
who believe in "rational expectations" who dismiss as "mere 
anecdote" strong empirical evidence that people do not have 
rational expectations.
