               "Creating & Maintaining GLU's"

                  WHY A EXTENSION COURSE?


GLU/Seattle is sincerely interested in seeing GLU type of 
institutions spring up anywhere. The offering of the course is
the simplest way in which others can profit in the experiences
of GLU/Seattle.  To share what has been accomplished to date,
and to share what the future holds for GLU's everywhere.

GLU is based on the principle that Knowledge is Empowerment.
So the idea of teaching a long distance email course to others
that would like to establish GLU's is not a "queer" idea.

GLU/Seattle has set up the course via email because it is one of
the fastest and least expensive ways in which to get GLU
information out to prospective GLU builders. Large quantities of
information can be shared with GLUs in a very rapid manner.

GLU/Seattle has taken on the project of instructing others
about GLU ideas.  That is not an end all.  GLU/Seattle expects
and demands feedback, questions. 

GLU/Seattle will maintain a moderated mailing list for other
GLUs. This will be an excellent place for the GLU concept to
be processed and filtered, passed on to others.
