Exploited Reviewed

"Punks Not Dead"
Snapper Music
1999

exploitednotdead

Some people consider this the best CD, the most representative of punk. It sold 150,000 copies. The band has earned credit for consistency and longevity--relative to the rest of punk, which was a flash-in-the-pan.

This reviewer is not as enthusiastic. We do have positive moments here for sure: "I believe in anarchy" and "Royalty." There are vomit sounds to the Amerikkkan national anthem.

Exploited has that "hard-core" sound which means guys yelling hoarse, high speed and repetitive loud guitar riffs. It's a less-polished sound than what you have already heard from the "Clash" and the "Sex Pistols."

Like much of hard-core punk, the definite plus is this is neither sappy love songs nor unhappy grunge songs about lost love.

We reviewed this album too, but we lost it. Still looking. . . exploited troops

MIM has explained that one might even "like" this music while knowing rationally that there is something wrong with it, maybe even profoundly wrong and evil. Being a Maoist means being a revolutionary scientist and that means having the ability to question everything that we like.

Who are you to decide?
