Mideast update

August 19 2008

We are receiving death threats from the Democratic Party, no doubt, but toward what exact end we are only sometimes sure. The threats involve events often many years past, and now they probably look different ways to different people. This is a reason we are in a hurry to write articles at the moment.

To their credit, the imperialists would go to extreme lengths to knock down public opinion for a war that they would like to wind down. We can be sure that exceptional measures were taken to wind down the Iraq War. It's just that the Amerikan public is so oblivious politically, it continues its support as before, the way 30% of the public would vote for a rock if it had a flag lapel and wore a Christian cross.

In contrast with the situation with Iraq and Iran, Palestine's predicament looks even more unresolved. Netanyahu's party may secretly desire a one-state solution or massive war way down the road and the Democrats may want the post-Annapolis talks to fail to boost Obama's electoral fortunes. It looks like they will get what they want.

Bob Woodward is coming out with a book on September 8 that the press is reporting is going to make the Bush administration look good. The new book will probably spin the campaign to wind down the Iraq War. The reverse propaganda campaign has to be explained.

"White House aides are said to be somewhat optimistic that the book will reflect favorably on Bush, perhaps because the timeline includes what they see as the 'success' of the 'surge.' But Woodward in past interviews has suggested that he has come to see the war as a major mistake, as reflected in the title of his previous volume, 'State of Denial.'"
We're guessing that Woodward saw some efforts to wind down the Iraq War and realized that Democrats were more complicit in some Bush administration policies than the public might be aware. For example, the New York Times itself reported that a domestic surveillance program started before 911. So how far back did it go--probably the Clinton years. If so, then the press may be overdue for a correction of impressions. We heard about domestic surveillance in the context of the lawyers scandal in which some lawyers faced partisan abuse for being Democrats or moderate Republicans. Yet the surveillance may not have involved spying on Democrats by Republicans. Maybe the Democrats even carried out surveillance. Obama himself is probably the most partisan of Democrats in the Senate, but even he reports in his book that he put his arm around Bush upon election to the Senate.

We can also report that the media such as the nytimes.com, foxnews.com, some articles on Yahoo even--the media is misleading the world. The CIA is working through the media to mislead one U.$. citizen contrary to law and that is also being seen by the rest of the world.

We have put in an upclose and very intensive effort to understand the various Democratic & Republican actors here regarding Palestine. So far the Bush administration has failed to bring about a two-state solution. We have heard that McCain is a maverick who would accept a one-term limit and leave politics out. We also heard that Obama does without lobbyists and is for "change." Yet, here we are--no change for Palestine. If these images of McCain & Obama were true, then Bush would have had to have had more Mideast peace success so far. That's just political reality. The lack of change shows that the imperialists are working together to continue their warmongering ways. Let it not be said MIM did not give its all. The imperialists just can't get the two-state thing going.
