PCID Working Papers The Program in Comparative and International Development (PCID) at Johns Hopkins University is distributing a set of working papers produced by scholars working with our program. PCID is a concentration within the Ph.D. program of the Department of Sociology at Johns Hopkins. The working papers listed below are available in hard copy with a $5.00 donation or for free by access to an electronic archive located at csf.colorado.edu To obtain a hard copy write to Cristiana Camardella, Department of Sociology, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD. 21218 USA with your request. Include a check made out to "Sociology (PCID)" with a $5.00 donation for each paper requested. If you are a gopher user, you can obtain the papers electronically by first entering the "World Systems Archive" menu. Then, enter the "Papers" directory and finally the "working_papers:johns_hopkins_pcid" subdirectory. To obtain the papers electronically using ftp, access csf.colorado.edu through Internet. Log on as "anonymous" and type in your name as a password. You must use lower-case letters. After you have logged on, use the "cd" command to change to the directory called "wsystems". Then enter the subdirectory "papers" and finally the subdirectory "working_papers:johns_hopkins_pcid". To retrieve files, use the ftp "get" command.
